TELLINA (DONAX TRUNCULUS)

The flesh of this mollusk is highly prized for its flavor and texture. The teliina is a gastronomic delight available throughout the year. This small bivalve mollusk has a smooth shell, oval and flat, light brown or gray. The interior is violet, although sometimes white or orange. The flesh of the Tellina provides good amounts of minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus.

PACKAGING

Fresh Tellina is packed in nets of :

in steripor boxes of total 12 kg net weight, with ice flakes inside. Usually shipped by plane Lives in 5-7 days after catch ->
Pasteurized frozen Tellina is packed in vacuum packs of:

• 250 gr
• 500 gr
in cardboard boxes of 3 kg net weight, 160 cartons per EU pallet Usually shipped by refrigerated container/truck

STORAGE CONDITIONS

Fresh Tellina must be stored at 0 – 5 ° Celsius

TOP SHELL MEAT (RAPANA VENOSA)

RAPA WHELK is the most important component of the demersal fauna in the southern Black Sea. Whelks are snails that live in seawater. Their spiral shell is pale brown, though it’s usually covered in algae or small barnacles. They live about 10 to 15 years. Commercial whelk capture has been started in Bulgaria in 1986. Whelks are popular in Europe and Asia. Where they are commonly sold at seaside snack stands in the United Kingdom and served on many seafood platters at brasseries and restaurants in France. If you’d like a touch of elegance, feel free to refer to them as “marine escargots.” The Top Shell Meat is really high in protein. They have elegantly spiraled shells and, when properly cooked, their meat is tender and succulent.They are highly prized product in the Asian market.

SPRATS (SPRATTUS SPRATTUS) are highly active, small oily fish. They are recognized for their nutritional value as they contain high levels of polyunsaturated fats, considered beneficial to the human diet. The sprats are known for their smooth flavor and taste. They are eaten in many places around the world.
